The Central Iowa Younger Member Group (YMG) provides professional connections and development for young engineers in Des Moines and Ames, Iowa.  The group is part of the Iowa Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), which works to advance the civil engineering profession through education and professional events.

Central Iowa YMG is composed of students and young professionals, generally under the age of 35, wishing to network with peers and develop professional connections through social activities and career development events.  In addition to meeting other young engineers, YMG provides opportunities to:

• Volunteer for community events and activities

• Find out about career opportunities

• Tour engineering and construction sites

• Participate in regional and national ASCE events

If you're a current or perspective member of the Iowa Section of ASCE, YMG is a great way to become more active in central Iowa's civil engineering community.  Announcements for upcoming meetings and events are sent via email.
